Born in Scotland and trained at Edinburgh College of Art, Penelope has travelled extensively in Morocco and South East Asia and this greatly inspired her earlier work.
She lived and worked in London and Amsterdam for 15 years until moving back to Scotland to the landscape she grew up in. Since 1989 she's had various solo exhibitions throughout the UK, Holland and the USA. These include Art Moves in Amsterdam, the V & A and Wrightson & Co. in London.
