The Strathearn Gallery is delighted to welcome John Lowrie Morrison OBE (Jolomo) back for a highly anticipated solo exhibition of new works. One of Scotland’s most celebrated and collectable artists, Jolomo’s instantly recognisable, expressive style has been refined over more than 50 years, capturing not just the landscape but the emotion and atmosphere of being within it.
Renowned for his bold and confident use of colour, his paintings go beyond representation to evoke a powerful emotional response - as he says, “colour tells the story.” Alongside his much-loved west coast scenes, this exhibition will also feature a selection of more rarely seen east coast works, offering collectors a unique opportunity to experience a broader journey across Scotland.
Please get in touch with us below if you would like to receive a catalogue for this exhibition.

Ron Lawson’s biggest show of the year is just around the corner at our Annan Gallery in Glasgow and it’s not one to miss. Expect his striking compositions in muted, springtime hues - all brought together in an unforgettable exhibition.

We are delighted to present our first solo exhibition with contemporary Scottish watercolour artist Pascale Rentsch, RSW. Nature’s Hues is a major showcase of her work and opens at Strathearn Gallery on Saturday 6th June. Pascale’s expressive plein air paintings capture the shifting light, weather, and atmosphere of the natural world, where spontaneity and emotion guide each work and nature itself becomes an active collaborator in the process.
Please get in touch with the gallery if you would like more information about this exhibition.
