Within this exhibition, we are honoured to be exhibiting a collection of paintings by the acclaimed artist, the late Pat Semple RSW. Born in Kintyre, Pat attended Edinburgh College of Art in the 1950s and went on to have an incredibly successful career, spanning over 40 years, as both a professional artist and teacher.
Her intriguing, expressive works are focussed on spirituality and the human need to find meaning by searching for patterns and symbols in their lives. Pat too, looked to find this through her work, using oil, watercolour and charcoal and capturing in some way, her own personal and spiritual experiences.
