We're thrilled to welcome John Lowrie Morrison OBE (Jolomo) back to the Strathearn Gallery with a solo exhibition of over 45 new works. Recently named in the Sunday Times as one of Scotlands 10 Greatest Ever Artists, John is one of Scotlands most iconic and celebrated painters working today. He has gained a global reputation with art buyers, capturing Scottish landscape like no other, with his passion for Scotlands West Coast and its Islands evident through every piece he paints. His work is brimming with life and movement, deft brushstrokes applying intensely vivid colours to capture the spirit and light of the remote lands of Scotland.The Croft and the Lighthouse focuses Argyll and the Western Isles and in particular on the two types of building that have fascinated Jolomo since childhood.
