Originally from Andalucia, Southern Spain, Maria Cid-Castilla is an artist based in Stirlingshire. Her work is inspired by the captivating Scottish coastline and reflects memories of the places that she has visited. Applying quick brushstrokes, using rich textures and mixing bold vivid colours, her aim is to always capture the unexpected drama of the elements.
She has trained with renowned Scottish artists she is a regular exhibitor at the Edinburgh Festival MacMillan Art Show, where she was the featured artist for the 2019 exhibition.
